This e-learning focuses on the background and practical application of Therapeutic Drug Monitoring (TDM) in IBD medication. The principles of thiopurine metabolism and application points are explained based on everyday case studies. In addition, the e-learning examines the place of TDM in biologicals based on current knowledge and guidelines on this. The authors, one of the founders of TDM in IBD medication in the Netherlands, have tried to develop comprehensible e-learning with clinically relevant background information, which can be helpful in daily practice.
